Build it big: Do you have what it takes - Video
Here is a recap of the Paparelli Zoom Chat for Entrepreneurs #20
The theme was “Build it big: Do you have what it takes?”
Special thanks to my guest Tyler Scriven, co-founder and CEO of Saltbox.
Quote of the call: “I think about people as pieces of a puzzle. My job is to find the most beautiful pieces and put them together perfectly. And people are not squares.” Tyler Scriven
Here are my key takeaways from this call:
You are an entrepreneur because God made you one. This does not guarantee you’ll be a runaway success. Entrepreneurs work on things that might fail.
Wall Street makes money in the exchange of value. Startups create value.
Surround yourself with smart people. You’ll be motivated.
In startups, well rounded is not a great personal asset. Unique strengths of individuals, their superpowers, build great companies.
The foundational attributes of successful founders: self-awareness, unwillingness to quit, pursuing and then owning radically ambitious visions.
To have a chance at building a hyper-growth company you must have the ability to attract the smartest people and the highest value capital.
Big visions, solving big problems, attract really talented people.
Self-awareness of the founder is the fundamental requirement in building a learning organization.
Hire truth seekers to build a hyper-growth company.
The secret to building it big: a team of exceptional people focused on a radical vision.
Watch the video to discover the founder’s attributes necessary to build it big.
