Here is a recap of the Paparelli Zoom Chat for Entrepreneurs #27

The theme was “Counter-culture selling. It’s hard!”

Special thanks to my guest Brian Hill, MD, co-founder and CEO of HIPnation.

Quote of the call: “Evangelism isn’t sales.” Brian Hill

7 key takeaways from this call:

  1. When you see a big problem in the market, you have two choices. Accept it or change it.

  2. Learning a new market: read + attend conferences + network with media.

  3. Disintermediating an industry is the very definition of culture change.

  4. The CEO’s job is to “make the ship big.”

  5. Adding more features to overcome early market objections is not a winning sales strategy.

  6. Insurance should be there only if something really bad happens. It is not there to pay for normal wear and tear.

  7. Solutions that aim to break the status quo always take more personal engagement.
