Helping Others While Becoming Sustainable - Video
Here is a recap of the Paparelli Zoom Chat for Entrepreneurs #31.
The theme was “Helping Others While Becoming Sustainable.”
Special thanks to my guest Jack Griffin, founder and CEO of Foodfinder.us.
Quote of the call: “I could not sit still now that my ignorance had been shattered.” Jack Griffin
The ask: Foodfinder.us is a nonprofit that helps people in need of food find it. For every $10 contribution you make, 200 people will find a food pantry near them. Please make a contribution at www.foodfinder.us.
7 key takeaways from this call:
Exposure to a market need could be life-changing. It changes the way you see the world from that point forward.
There is a big difference between a market need and the problem to be solved within that market need. A startup solves the problem within the market need.
Early market use of the beta solution will speak to the speed of market adoption.
Expansion only comes by finding the leverage points in the market. Brute force is not a good long-term strategy.
The beginning of long-term success is to not allow yourself to get overwhelmed by the amount of work to be done to solve the problem.
The first step in a startup is customers. This is the proof. Then you can incorporate.
As time marches on, a great entrepreneur has an ever expanding vision. The entrepreneur discovers more and more ways to serve the market.
