1. A fulfilling life isn’t about money. It is about helping people and solving big societal problems. 

2. Knowing your market through personal experience makes you credible and relevant to the people you intend to serve.

3. A passionate focus on helping others will gain you access to the highest levels even if you are too young to do what you are doing.

4. When bad market news impacts you and it is combined with uncertainty, you must make the hard cost-cutting decisions quickly.

5. When a big problem pops up, money looks to the organization with the network, experience, and resources to solve it.

6. If your buyer is confused, you must redesign your product and delivery to meet whatever outcome is possible.

7. If you are in a strong financial position when the storm hits, you will survive. Get strong. Stay strong. (This should be an annual goal or, better yet, a core value.)

8. Online learning got low marks, but many parents preferred it due to convenience. The tools and changes in teaching methods will get the academic marks up.

9. In tough times, revisiting and recommitting to your “why” will always keep you going.

10. To learn about others and their lives (e.g. your market), you must ask questions and be ready to listen without judging or coming to a quick solution.
